When and where will the 2019 AERA Annual Meeting take place?
The meeting will be held Friday, April 5 – Tuesday, April 9, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Fairmont Royal York, InterContinental Toronto Centre, Sheraton Centre Toronto, and the Westin Harbour Castle.
Does AERA have volunteers, scholarships or financial support for presenters and/or attendees?
No. Due to the size, scope of the meeting, and logistical management, AERA relies entirely on paid staff to fulfill essential needs on site.
A number of AERA Divisions and Special Interest Groups (SIGs) provide scholarships. To find out more, contact your Division or SIG leadership.
How do I obtain a certificate of attendance?
Come to the AERA Headquarters Office (Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building, Room 204) when you are onsite to obtain your certificate. The office is open Thursday-Sunday, 9:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m. and Monday, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. AERA is only able to issue certificates of attendance onsite at the meeting. We cannot issue certificates of attendance after the meeting or over email.

Do I need a passport to travel to Canada?
Canadian law requires that all persons entering Canada carry both proof of citizenship and proof of identity. A valid passport, passport card, or NEXUS card satisfies these requirements. Children under 15 need only present proof of citizenship. Do I need a Visa to travel to Canada?
For tourist visits to Canada of less than 180 days, U.S. citizens do not need visas. Citizens of other nations should review the Government of Canada’s requirements at www.cic.gc.ca. How do I request an official Letter of Invitation from AERA to submit with my Visa application?
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name and a letter can be created for you. Letters can only be issued to participants of the meeting. Requests are fulfilled in the order they are received.

How do I add an event (Professional Development Course, Offsite Visit, etc.) to an existing registration?
How to Register or Add an Event to Existing Registration:
1. Log in to register and make a hotel reservation or view and add events to your existing registration for the 2019 Annual Meeting.
2. Once you are logged in, click ‘My AERA’ at the top of the page.
3. On the ‘My AERA’ page, scroll down to the 2019 Annual Meeting and click ‘Register and Reserve a Hotel Room Now’ or ‘View and Add Events to Existing Registration’.
How do I update or edit my registration?
Changes to your registration can be made online by logging in to your registration. For additional registration assistance, please contact Registration Support at email: email@example.com or phone: (800) 893-7950 or (484) 751-5136.
How do I update or edit my hotel reservation?
For housing assistance or to modify your reservation, please contact Housing Customer Service at email: firstname.lastname@example.org or phone: 800-262-9974 or 404-842-0000.
PROGRAM CHANGES AND PAPER UPLOADS
I need to make an update to my paper/session. How do I do that?
Please send all program changes to email@example.com and include the title of the presentation. Author updates require name, affiliation and email address.
I emailed you about a program change, but I haven’t heard back.
All emails will be answered in the order they were received. AERA will have all changes incorporated into the program by COB Monday, March 11. Phone calls and multiple email requests will not expedite your request.
How do I upload my final paper? What is the deadline?
The Online Program is now open for individual paper authors and session submission authors to upload final papers to be presented at the 2019 AERA Annual Meeting. All papers must be uploaded no later than March 8, 2019. Session chairs and discussants (if applicable) will review the uploaded papers through the system in order to prepare for the session.View complete Paper Specification and Upload Instructions: http://www.aera19.net/paper-specification-and-upload-instructions.html.
My affiliation/institution/name has changed, and I need to change it in the program.
To update your personal information, visit www.aera.net. Log in and click on the “My AERA” link at the top right of the page. Click on “My Profile” to update your information. It may take up to 24 hours for the information to be reflected in the online program.

Will child care be available during the 2019 AERA Annual Meeting?
Childcare will be available during the 2019 Annual Meeting beginning Thursday, April 4, through Tuesday, April 9. To ensure that the center is properly staffed and to facilitate planning of games and other activities for the children, advance registration is required. On-site registration may be possible, at a slightly higher cost, if space is available. The deadline for advance child-care registration is March 16, 2019.
